I had dinner with my daughters on Thursday in the newly opened AJ’s. Although we had a 40minute wait on a table it was worth the wait. The staff are so lovely checking in with you re how long the wait will be etc. The new decor is really beautiful. The food was absolutely outstanding. The staff are all so lovely and service was first class. Think we might actually return today! First class AJ’s delighted to see your doors open again. Caroline

Called today at around 2-2.30 and got a seat straight away even though it was busy for the time of day. This is a family favourite but haven't been for a while. Service and food as always very good. I got the Philly steak sandwich/ chips/gravy and rocket. Followed by blueberry and vanilla cheesecake. Food was great!

The food is excellent but Jules and Paul made the evening! Good fun, very helpful, nothing was a bother! Will definitely be back to try some more tasty food. Didn't get to try the pavlova but someone beside us had it and it looked delicious .

A busy spot and got seated straight away. Good selection on the menu and the service was quick. Food is great and there’s very healthy portions. I struggled to finish but I did and made room for a dessert. Good value for money too. There’s seating downstairs and upstairs and considering how busy it was the food came out quick. By the time I was leaving there was a queue out the door waiting for tables. The place is very well kept and nice & clean.

So happy that this place is back up and running again! Beautiful food as always, big portions and very well priced. Staff are as attentive and friendly as they ever have been. I missed this place a lot when they were closed.

Went for Sunday lunch, hubby and daughter ordered the specials. One turkey ham and stuffing and 1 roast beef, came with mixed veg and potatoes. My daughter got choice of sides but opted for mash potato. I ordered chicken and stack, garlic potatoea and extra gravy as we love gravy. Food was piping hot and beautiful. The roast beef was moist and very tender. I did sneak a small piece

Been going to AJs for many years, and its our favourite place to eat. We actually travel from Hillsborough just to go to AJs. Food is always 100% top quality and proper big portions, that we somehow always finish, leaving a clean plate. None of us has ever had a bad meal ever. Staff are super friendly, professional and efficient. You know it's a good place for food when there's often a queue out the door, no matter the day or time. In the 15months it was closed we never found anywhere like AJs and are so happy it's open again and the food is the same high quality menu as before. We've been back twice already since it reopened. We all love the daily dinners, gammon, chicken kiev, steak kebab, garlic wedges.... all the food is so good.
